A
private detective living in the home of a dying wealthy friend
unknowingly stumbles in the middle of a mysterious and murderous plot
which may involve the very people he works for.
Terrific
performances grace this entertaining, if not always focused mystery
yarn. The characters are lively and there are many nice touches along
the way. The plot isn't anything new, as it is an old fashioned
detective story, but he is an old fashioned detective after all. A
likeable time-killer.
